This antique majolica Exhibition vase or urn was undoubtedly made by the Royal Worcester factory in the Baroque Revival style, around 1864. The piece is stamped with the Royal Worcester crown mark thrice at the base, and it is consistent with the works of Josiah Rushton though not artist-signed. The vase is designed in three separate sections, each displaying the most vibrant and striking colors, with cherub vignettes on either side of the top component. The handles are adorned with figural serpents that cascade down on both sides into the most brilliantly colored foliage, making this piece an extraordinary work of art.
